When you’re preparing to rent a roll off dumpster for a DIY home project or for commercial construction use, deciding what size dumpster to choose can be tricky. It can be tough to look at the potential clutter around you and think in terms of tonnage. Could my garage possibly include two tons of waste? Could expanding our master suite really create four tons of scrap and junk?
We’ve created the guide below to help you to choose the correct roll off dumpster size, based on type of renovation or clean-out project and the amount of clutter it will yield. This will ensure you don’t find yourself in the middle of a project with an overflowing dumpster or paying for a dumpster that you won’t fill even half-way.
Also, check out our recap on what items can and cannot be dumped in a dumpster. Knowing how much of your waste is considered acceptable waste will also help determine what roll off dumpster size will be best.
