Environmental Recovery Corporation recently donated $5,000 to support Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center’s programs and the children who benefit from them. As a nationally recognized pediatric facility, Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center provides family-centered education and therapy programs for infants, children and adolescents with disabilities, developmental delays and acquired injuries.
“Schreiber is a local charity that directly improves the lives of children,” said Kevin Rohrbach, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at ERC. “We are members of this community and we have families, too, so Schreiber’s mission struck a chord with us.”
Their goal oriented approach maximizes each child’s ability to function as independently as possible within the community.
“Our partnership has grown over the years, and their support has grown with it,” said James DeBord, president of Schreiber Pediatric. Since 2014, ERC has donated portable toilets to Schreiber Pediatrics’ annual fundraiser, the Rubber Duckie Race. Additionally, the proceeds from ERC’s annual customer appreciation golf outing are donated to Schreiber.
At this year’s golf outing, DeBord had an opportunity to share the impact ERC’s support has had on local children with disabilities, developmental delays, and acquired injuries – all of whom rely on Schreiber’s services. His touching tribute left few with dry eyes.
“We were inspired by what James and his staff do every day,” Rohrbach said. “After hearing James speak, we felt compelled to provide even more help to the Center.”
In turn, ERC made an additional donation of $5,000 which was presented in a special ceremony held at Schreiber’s facility in Lancaster. Being a committed member of the community is one of ERC’s core values — in addition treating all with integrity and respect, focusing on the customer’s needs, and exceeding compliance standards for environmental responsibility.
The Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center relies on community support, according to Dan Fink, Schreiber’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “ERC has been a really good partner for Schreiber over these past years,” Fink said.
“We rely on the contributions of organizations like ERC to keep our doors open. We are so happy with the way they’ve embraced our mission.”
